Committee Assignments
State Representative Sam Komo serves on three committees of the Missouri House of Representatives. Here proposed legislation is studied, discussed and debated. The members of the various committees then vote on which bills to recommend to the full House. The three committees Sam Komo serves on are:
Health Care Policy
The Committee on Health Care Policy may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to the health care of the citizens of the State, including mental health, and the Departments of Health and Mental Health. The Committee may also consider and report on bills and matters referred to it relating to Medicaid and related matters.
Special Committee on Veterans
The Special Committee on Veterans may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to terrorism and security against terrorism; veterans affairs and the promotion and strengthening of states rights and military and naval affairs of the State.
Joint Committee On Government Accountability
This committee strives to make your State Government more accountable to the taxpayers of Missouri.
