Biography Sam Komo was elected State Representative from Missouri’s 90th District in November 2006. His prior government experience includes serving on the School Board of the Northwest School District, during which time Sam earned Advanced and Master Board Member Awards. Sam Komo has spent a large portion of his life volunteering in the community. For three years he coached roller hockey for Jefferson County Parks & Recreation in High Ridge. He also served as a volunteer driver for Feed My People. Sam’s father served in Korea and Sam is proud to be a member of the High Ridge VFW Men's Auxiliary. As a member of Joachim Masonic Lodge & Moolah Shriners, he has helped raise funds for health care for children. Sam Komo also serve as a trustee in his subdivision and was also elected High Ridge Township Committeeman in 1997. In both 2001 and 2003, Sam Komo was named Jefferson County Democratic Committeeman of the Year. Sam Komo is a proud member of the United Auto Workers and has worked at Chrysler for over ten years. He has held the elected position of Chief Shop Steward. Sam Komo is a single father and along with his son Tyler (13), live in their home in the same subdivision where Sam grew up in High Ridge. The Komo Family have lived on Highway 30 in Jefferson County since the early 1900’s where they have been active in the local business community. Sam’s hobbies include hunting on a fifty-acre farm owned by his family.
